Anytime challenges are presented we have the opportunity to scale back or rise up to the obstacles ahead. Pressure reveals how we view ourselves and at times we're forced to confront parts of our character that we'd rather avoid.
The fear of not being enough leads people to overcompensate or underdeliver. We don't take risks because we are afraid of being embarrassed. We let people get under our skin because we don't know how to communicate our worth. We subconsciously let the opinions of others dictate how we should live. We spend too much time listening to the voices of others-those who are often well meaning- instead of developing confidence to boldly stand and speak on our own.
Newsflash! You can never be successful at anything if you resist the fight. Confrontation is never comfortable. You will rob yourself of genuine joy and satisfaction when you settle for short lived pleasures. You become stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually when you push past those thoughts of doubt, fear, and intimidation and get things done. Will it be easy? No. Will you understand why you're experiencing hard times? No. Will it always feel good? No.
The one thing I know for certain is that with every situation, you have the strength to make it through. Only you have the willpower to tap into that strength. You have to make up in your mind that you are capable of more and refuse to let people or circumstances dictate your attitude and capabilities.
